On July 1st, immerse yourself in the fusion of traditional and contemporary Iranian music with Karaj Collective, featuring the exceptional Kurdish singer Sahar Zibaei. Their captivating performance will take you on a mesmerizing journey through the rich cultural tapestry of Iran.
Prepare to be enchanted by the multilingual sounds of Çiğdem Aslan on the same night. With influences from rebetiko, Balkan music, and more, Çiğdem Aslan's performance is a testament to the power of cross-cultural influences and promises to leave a lasting impression.
The night concludes with the highly much-awaited debut performance of Ehsan Karami and the Kourosh Kanani Trio. Ehsan Karami, a celebrated actor and singer from Iran, presents a captivating blend of authentic Iranian music. Meanwhile, Kourosh Kanani’s musical exploration traverses Iranian folk, Persian classical, the intricate rhythm systems of South India, jazz, and improvisation, resulting in a thrilling fusion with a progressive rock touch.
On July 29th, experience an exceptional all-female lineup from the Middle East, accompanied by jazz musicians led by Mahan Mirarab. Aida Shahghasemi, Basma Jabr, Elaha Soroor, Golnar Shahyar, Misagh Morady, and Mona Matbou Riahi will showcase their remarkable talent and musical heritage, delivering an unforgettable night of music that celebrates diversity and innovation.
To conclude the evening in style, electronic musician Pouya Ehsaei from Iran will deliver an electrifying performance. Pushing the boundaries of contemporary music, his fusion of traditional Iranian music with experimental electronic sounds is guaranteed to leave you energized and inspired.
The excitement continues on July 30th at The Social in London with Shibaali, a unique music project created by the renowned percussionist Habib Meftah. Shibaali pays homage to Habib's birthplace, Bushehr, a culturally rich port city in southern Iran. Combining eastern music with EDM, Shibaali's energetic and mesmerizing music creates an electrifying experience for all. Joining Habib is Rouzbeh Esfandarmaz, a talented woodwind player and improviser, who adds his expertise to the captivating soundscapes of Shibaali.
