Sounds of Southern Iran: An Evening with Damahi and Majid Salari

Iranian band Damahi brings their electrifying, genre-blending performance to Queen Elizabeth Hall on March 7, joined by vocalist Majid Salari from southern Iran.
Damahi is renowned for its innovative fusion of styles, blending Iranian folk music from the southern coasts with jazz, rock, reggae, flamenco, Afrobeat, Latin, funk, and Indian music.
Formed in 2014, the band’s line-up includes Dara Daraee on bass, Hamzeh Yeganeh on keyboards and Benjou, Ebrahim Alavi on guitar and oud, and Reza Koolaghani on vocals.

Majid Salari, a talented singer, composer, and musician from Hormozgan, Iran, has over a decade of experience in fusion music. Starting as a guest vocalist for Damahi, he has since performed widely, forming his own ensemble and collaborating with various artists.
In this concert, Salari opens the night with his original compositions and later joins Damahi onstage for a set of collaborative tracks.
