The Trembling Land: Vahid Taremi, Rouzbeh Esfand & Samin Ghorbani
Join us at The Tabernacle on Sunday 15 November 2026 for The Trembling Land, presented as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival 2026.
A new work by Vahid Taremi, with arrangements by Rouzbeh Esfand and vocals by Samin Ghorbani.
For the artists, The Trembling Land reflects on what it means to leave a part of oneself behind. Their experience of displacement from Iran, and their lives now scattered across three European cities, becomes the starting point for a shared musical language.
The work brings together classical Persian music and contemporary electronics, connecting three musicians across distance and giving musical form to memories, experiences and what has remained unspoken.
As the artists describe it:
"This is not a retelling of the past, but a voice for what remained unspoken. This music is our shadow. Now, it steps into the light."
