Leili's Turn (TV Series Soundtrack): An Album by Bamdad Afshar

The soundtrack of the series "Leili's Turn" can be considered as the concluding part of the trilogy that began with the two-volume collection "Tafrigh." Bamdad Afshar has experimented with different and even contrasting styles throughout his career, and in this trilogy, he has blended strings with ambient and electronic music along with other genres.

In "Tafrigh (Vol. 1)," he incorporated Koocheh-bazari music, followed by Persian rap in "Tafrigh (Vol. 2)," and in "Leili's Turn," he used Iranian local legends and the music of the Eastern European gypsy community. Notably, the first few seconds of the song "Qairvan" in this collection pay homage to Nicolae Neacșu, the late musician of Romanian origin.
